Response:Toshiba Logistics Europe provides high-quality warehouse operations using our global standardized WMS. From inbound to outbound, each process is clearly defined and implemented with systemic operational quality checks. Simultaneously, our WMS provides Inventory Tag Tracking (Serial No./Lot No. Etc.) in all warehouse transactions. Realtime System Checks and Update various data such as product ID, quantity, production lot number or any other defined Inventory Attributes. Apart from customization to customer needs, WMS is integrated with Order/Shipment data with customer‘s system (OMS/ERP etc.) and synchronized in timely manner.
Result:Now customer is capable of JIT (Just In Time) delivery depending on various end-customer's needs around Europe and beyond, even including Automotive Customers which have especially strict requirements.

Issue: Customer imports Lithum-Ion Battery products from Japan and sells it all over Europe. In terms of logistics for this, the customer had taken care with multiple external service providers, which made traceability complicated thus they could not see Estimated Arrival Time and provide the end customer with proper delivery information. That matterd to customer's production plan.
Response:We proposed a fulfillment service through customer's whole SCM. We offered our competitive ocean freight rate for import which is acquired through so called "Global Bid" with our forwarders worldwide in cooperation with our Japan HQ, SBS Toshiba Logistics Corporation. As well as the cost, we always monitor the tracking information from the vessel company and provide the customer with the feedback more frequently than on daily basis.
Also, for warehouseing, we offered the service at our Weiterstadt Warehouse and operations in there supported by our own WMS, as well as the interface with the customer's OMS. Thanks to this, now the customer can always see the status of each shipping order and etimate how long it would take until delivery to their customers based on timely inventory synchronization. Besides, traceability is fully available also in a timely manner on carton basis for a better control.
Result:Customer improved the both of work efficiency and precision for cheking/answering cargo status, as well as achieved logistics cost cut.
Import Operation Support with Inbound Tracking System

Issue:Due to an increase in the number of imports, the customer's operators were facing a hardship to track and find each necessary data. This process was manually managed by Excel, which often brought some errors in data matching in the past.
Response:We proposed the systematic solution for this. We provided the customer with our Inbound Tracking Sytem which enables systematic control on deliveries status from the factories/shippers around the world such as Asia/Japan/Europe, including current shipment location data. Specificcally, it makes possible that the customer finds all carrier and forwarder details on Invoice/Container/End-Customer PO basis in one instance, including shipment details such as origin/destination locations, latest ETA, and handling history on the way of delivery.
Plus, it also includes all necessary shipments details such as: MBL, HBL, AWB, HAWB, Container Mode (FCL/LCL), the number of pallets, as well as all the data requested by customer regarding shipment costs such as: freight, customs clearance, duty, etc.
with variety of systematic reports customized to customer need’s.
Result:These benefits contributed to decrease of customer workload and improved precision of their works.

Issue:Many of semiconductor and electronic components are fragile and very sensitive to antistatic. They are called ESDS (ESD Sensitive Devices) and our customer needs that we unpack/split on piece basis/ repack
such items under the well-controlled circumstance.
Response:We provide EPAs (ESD protected Areas). They are designed and installed based on strict customer requirements such as temperature/humidity control, ESD measured equipments/tools installation/periodic measurement/calibration for those tools, and the operators dedicated in there are especially well-trained based on each SOP.
